Sarah fled a violent relationship with her two children, both of whom have additional needs. The family were placed in B&B-style temporary accommodation, which offered little stability at an already traumatic time. Sarah also has suspected learning disabilities and finds navigating complex systems particularly difficult.

Referred by her GP, Sarah worked alongside Justlife to secure more suitable temporary accommodation and transfer her children to schools closer to their new home, creating greater safety and routine for the family.
Recognising that their wellbeing is interconnected, the team coordinated with health, education and social care professionals while helping Sarah access previously unclaimed benefits.
The family now live in a two-bedroom property. Although it does not fully meet their needs, Justlife is helping Sarah make it as safe and manageable as possible while she applies for a three-bedroom home. She is also seeking an assessment so she can better understand her own needs and access appropriate help.
Sarah says: “I find it really difficult finding out what’s going to happen next, and Justlife’s support helps me look after my children and keep them safe.”
