Our impact

During 2025/26, the number of households living in temporary accommodation continued to rise, placing growing pressure on individuals, families and the services supporting them. During the year, we also developed our new five-year strategy, launched in April 2026. It brings together two ambitious aims—Delivering Impactful Support and Transforming Temporary Accommodation—underpinned by our commitment to place lived experience at the centre of everything we do.This report shows how Justlife responded: providing practical and emotional support at moments of crisis, creating opportunities for connection and recovery, and working towards lasting change so that fewer people experience the harm of temporary accommodation in the future.

Here is a snapshot of last year’s achievements:

What people say about us

“When you're in these environments [temporary accommodation], you get really lonely. And I mean really lonely… then sort of coming and meeting everybody else in here [at Justlife]… It's like, you're not the only one.”

Paul, Justlife client

“I couldn’t have done it without the support of Tash [Justlife Specialist Support Worker]. She was just always there. It was never too much trouble… any time I can message, you know. She was amazing and I thank you. Nobody’s ever done that. So supportive.”

Sarah, Justlife client

“On the first morning I met you, I was in a terrible position. I was in a very bad place, a very bad place. You have built me up, helped me through some basic problems. I would have been on the streets if it wasn’t for Justlife ”

Keith, Justlife client

"I've made mistakes in my life, and I've lost too much. But now I've got to build myself up again. And this charity, if it wasn't here, I don't know where I'd be"

Ian, Justlife client
